photo Assalamu’alaykum.
I’m Nuseiba. I was born and raised in the UK, but my nationality and home is Malaysia, of where I reside now in. I am currently working at a research institute liking what I do. I plan to continue my studies in the near future (the fact that I keep saying this every year since 2006 somehow makes it less legit in the eyes of some people).
In my entries, I write mostly about home, family, Islam, friends or work. I have a huge family (by today’s standards) so I tend to write more about them. When I learn something new, I like to share, be it old news to others, mostly pertaining to Islam.
I am ashamed of calling myself a book enthusiast because for a few months now, I have not read anything worth mentioning. I keep buying more and more books, but they just get stacked up on my lounge bench in my room. Do comment if you have a good recommendation though, because I surely would add it to my list, regardless.
Travelling has always been on the top of my to do list, each year. But ever since I went for hajj in 2006, I’ve bumped it down to number two, because now my aim is to go for Umrah each year, insyaAllah, but not too often or to easy to attain so that it doesn’t loose its meaning for me. I write travelogues halfway, and abandon them because I didn’t think my written words justifies how the experience for all my travels were like. (Maybe I should have written them as I went along).
I like making my own layouts even if other people make way better layouts/designs than I do. Even if I code worse (am not even a learned coder) than others, I’d still prefer my own layouts. There is just something about self-designing that gives me a sense of satisfaction. This goes without saying that I don’t mind helping others in what I know. (but I don’t like feeling getting swampped with designs). At times, I would stop blogging for no reason (or reasons only known to myself). This happens about once in every two years or so. It’s like a periodic sabatical leave from blogging. So I tell myself. I don’t suppose I would ever stop blogging. I’d get bored once in a while, but nothing cures better than a time-out. :)
My material wishlist (just so that I can put a list to what I can set monetary goal for…haha)

Wacom BambooFun tablet

Sony Ericsson C902 Got meself an LG Cookie

Some form of functional stylish tablet pc Got meself a netbook

Telephoto zoom lense for my Nikon D40 Got meself a tripod instead
and I’ll add more when I feel like it :P
